Editors of Pharma Research make decisions on manuscripts and must be seen to do so impartially.

  • Editors declare their financial and professional interests to the journal each year.
  • An editor who has a conflict with a manuscript – for example, a co-author, colleague, student or competitor – does not handle it. Another editor takes over and the conflicted editor has no access to the review.
  • Papers written by editors are reviewed double-blind by external reviewers, with the decision taken by another editor.
  • Editors do not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts in their own research.
