Peer Review Process
This page sets out the route a manuscript takes from submission to publication in Pharma Research.
- Submission. The corresponding author submits the manuscript online and receives an acknowledgement.
- Technical check. The editorial office confirms the files are complete, the manuscript follows the Instructions for Authors, and runs a similarity check.
- Editor's assessment. The editor decides whether the work fits the journal's scope and meets basic quality standards. Manuscripts that do not may be returned without review.
- Double-blind review. At least two reviewers are invited and normally asked to report within three weeks.
- Decision. The editor sends the decision with the reviewers' comments to the author.
- Revision. Authors revise the manuscript and reply to each comment point by point. Revised work may go back to the same reviewers.
- Acceptance and production. Accepted papers are copyedited and typeset, and the author approves a proof.
- Publication. The final article is published open access in the next issue (June or December).
